Dental Surgeon & Implant Specialist
Dr. Jimmy Butt
Dr. Jimmy Butt graduated magna cum laude (“with great praise”) from Trinity College
Dublin with a first-class degree in Restorative Dentistry. He began his career as a Dental
House Officer in Dublin Dental Hospital, where he gained comprehensive experience across
all aspects of dentistry, including oral surgery, paediatric dentistry, endodontics, and
prosthodontics.
With a strong focus on surgical dentistry, Dr. Butt advanced his training in the UK at St
Richard’s Hospital, working as a full-time hospital doctor managing facial skin cancers and
complex oral surgery cases, including wisdom teeth removal and facial trauma. He further
developed his surgical expertise at Cardiff University Hospital, a national referral centre,
where he gained experience in bone grafting, dental implant surgery, soft tissue procedures,
and the management of complex facial injuries.
Dr. Butt has achieved multiple postgraduate surgical qualifications from the Royal College of
Surgeons in Ireland, including Dip PCD RCSI, MFD RCSI, and MGDS RCSI. He later went
on to study medicine at Trinity College Dublin, qualifying as a medical doctor. This dual
qualification in both medicine and dentistry places him in a unique position to manage
complex surgical cases with a high level of safety and precision.
His clinical practice is now primarily focused on advanced implant dentistry, particularly full-
arch rehabilitation using All-on-X dental implants. Dr. Butt is recognised as one of the most
experienced providers of this treatment in Ireland, helping patients with failing or severely
compromised dentitions transition to fixed, implant-supported solutions with predictable,
long-term results.

Dr. Saad Ahsan
Dr. Ahsan graduated from Trinity College Dublin with an Honours degree in Dental Science.
Immediately following his qualification, he pursued advanced postgraduate training and
became one of the only dentists to attain multiple memberships with the Royal College of
Surgeons in Ireland in the same year, including Dip PCD RCSI, MFD RCSI, and MGDS
RCSI.
Dr. Ahsan has gained extensive experience across all aspects of dentistry through work in a
variety of leading practices all over Ireland. His commitment to clinical excellence led him to
further training in the UK, where he gained invaluable experience in emergency dentistry and
oral and maxillofacial surgery. Working alongside renowned surgeons, he has treated patients
with complex facial injuries, fractures, and jaw deformities—developing advanced surgical
skills that underpin his current practice.
Today, Dr. Ahsan’s work is primarily focused on advanced implant dentistry, with a particular
emphasis on full-arch rehabilitation using All-on-X dental implants. He is recognised as one
of the most experienced providers in this field, having successfully rehabilitated over 1,000
patients—transforming smiles for individuals with failing or severely compromised
dentitions into fully functional, fixed implant-supported solutions.
He has undertaken extensive implant training internationally across the UK, Spain, Portugal,
Germany, Brazil, and the USA, allowing him to deliver highly predictable outcomes in even
the most complex cases. His clinical interests also include soft tissue grafting around implants
and the management of aesthetic complications, ensuring both functional and cosmetic
excellence.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr. Ahsan is passionate about education and held a clinical
supervisor position for undergraduate students at the Dublin Dental Hospital, where he was
actively involved in mentoring the next generation of dentists. Now Dr. Ahsan is involved in
teaching the next generation of implant dentists with the most up to date techniques and
treatments all across Europe.

Dr. Jimmy Butts
Dr. Jimmy Butt grew up in Lucan, Dublin and graduated from Trinity College magna cum laude with a first class degree in restorative dentistry. He immediately began his professional career by being accepted onto the coveted Dublin Dental House Officer post. Here he gained valuable experience across all facets of dentistry, from oral surgery to paedodontics, endodontics and prosthodontics. A passion for oral maxillofacial surgery
culminated in a transition to St Richards Hospital in Chichester, UK. Dr. Butt worked as a full-time hospital doctor managing facial skin cancers and oral surgery lists including wisdom teeth, facial fractures and more. Whilst in Chichester he sat the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland membership exams, acquiring the BA B Dent Sc (Hons), Dip PCD RCSI, MFD RCSI and MGDS RCSI….
In order to gain exposure to complex oral cancer reconstructions, Dr. Butt moved to Wales and to the Cardiff University Hospital, a national trauma and referral centre. Here he acquired experience in soft tissue biopsies, bone grafts and dental implant surgery, as well as the management of facial fractures.
Dr. Butt then studied medicine in Trinity College Dublin, graduating as a doctor. He is the only dual-qualified full arch implant surgeon trained in both medicine and dentistry, allowing him to treat the most complex cases.
His belief is that all patients deserve to have optimal oral health in a calm, painless, and judgement-free environment. He aims to provide this quality care using the most modern and evidence-based techniques.

Dr. Katie Duffy graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2020 with an Honours degree in
Dental Science. Since qualifying, she has gained valuable experience working in a range of
practices across Ireland and Australia, developing a well-rounded and highly competent
approach to general dentistry.
Dr. Duffy’s clinical practice focuses on comprehensive general care, with particular strengths
in diagnosis, treatment planning, and preventative dentistry. She is known for her ability to
identify underlying dental issues early and provide clear, effective solutions tailored to each
patient. Her thorough and detail-oriented approach ensures that patients receive accurate
diagnoses and long-term treatment strategies, rather than short-term fixes.
She provides a full range of general dental treatments, including paediatric care, restorative
dentistry, and ongoing oral health maintenance. Dr. Duffy places strong emphasis on

Specialist Endodontist
Dr. Zara Mekhtikhanova
Dr. Zara Mekhtikhanova is a highly experienced Specialist Endodontist, dedicated to the
diagnosis and management of complex root canal cases. She graduated from Kharkiv
National Medical University in 2010 and went on to complete postgraduate training
at Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, obtaining a Master’s degree in
Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry.
With over a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Zara has developed advanced expertise in all
aspects of endodontic treatment. Her practice is now focused exclusively on root canal
therapy, including complex primary treatments, retreatments, and the management of cases
often considered “untreatable.” She is known for her ability to preserve teeth that might
otherwise be extracted, offering patients predictable and long-lasting outcomes even in highly
challenging situations.
A key aspect of Dr. Zara’s approach is her attention to detail and commitment to precision.
All treatments are carried out using advanced magnification with a dental microscope,
allowing for enhanced visualisation and accuracy. This meticulous technique contributes to
consistently high success rates and optimal clinical results.
In addition to performing root canal treatments, Dr. Zara adopts a comprehensive approach to
care. She ensures that each treated tooth is restored appropriately—whether through direct

Since relocating to Ireland in 2022 and registering with the Irish Dental Council, Dr. Zara has

Dr. Daniel Kim is a highly skilled Prosthodontist, dedicated to restoring and enhancing
natural smiles through advanced restorative and aesthetic dentistry. He graduated from
the University of Pécs in 2015, developing a strong foundation in comprehensive dental care
before progressing into specialist training.

Dr. Lubna Abouhajar
Dr. Lubna Abouhajar graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a degree in Dental Science.
Following her qualification, she dedicated two years to working in underserved communities
across Ireland, including Cavan and Wexford, where she managed a high volume of complex
cases. This early exposure to challenging clinical scenarios laid the foundation for her strong
surgical skillset and sparked a focused interest in implant dentistry and advanced oral surgery.
She went on to further her surgical training in the UK, working alongside leading figures in
implantology and gaining her first postgraduate qualification in dental implants. Dr.
Abouhajar has since pursued extensive international training across Europe, South America,
and Africa, continually refining her approach to complex implant rehabilitation and staying at
the forefront of modern surgical techniques.
Dr. Abouhajar holds a Master’s degree in Oral Implantology from Goethe University
Frankfurt, and her clinical practice is now dedicated exclusively to implant dentistry, oral
surgery, and emergency care. She carries out a full spectrum of procedures—from single
implants and impacted wisdom teeth removal to full-arch rehabilitation using All-on-X dental
implants.
She has a particular interest in advanced, high-demand aesthetic cases, where treatment often
involves a combination of surgical and restorative techniques such as bone grafting and soft
tissue augmentation. Known for her meticulous planning and precision, Dr. Abouhajar is

Dr. Abdul Manan Zia
Dr Zia is a dedicated and internationally trained dental practitioner currently
practising in Ireland.
Dr Zia completed his Master’s degree in Dentistry at Kharkiv National Medical
University, Ukraine, where he developed a solid foundation in clinical dentistry and
patient care. Following his graduation, he broadened his professional exposure by
gaining clinical experience across multiple European healthcare environments,
including the Netherlands and Portugal. These experiences allowed him to observe
diverse treatment approaches and develop a well-rounded understanding of modern
dental practices.
He later returned to Ukraine to undertake a one-year House Officer training program
in Uzhhorod. During this period, he gained hands-on experience across all major
areas of dentistry, including restorative procedures, minor oral surgery, and general
patient management, further strengthening his clinical competence.
After relocating to Ireland, Dr Zia continued to refine his skills by working closely
alongside experienced dental surgeons. Through this mentorship and clinical
exposure, he became proficient in a wide range of dental procedures and developed
a keen interest in delivering comprehensive, patient-centred care.
Dr Zia is registered with the Irish Dental Council and is currently practising at
Slievemore Dental. He is committed to providing high-quality dentistry in a calm,
